How to install a rooftop rain harvesting system
One of the main individual components to the watershed project is a "How To" we are creating for the magazine. The premise is simple as that you create an eco-friendly "How To' to include in your groups final magazine. But all illustrations need to be painted and then transferred online to put together. Its an long process that not only pushes you to learn about design for a magazine, it allows you to learn how to edit and create a product online and to push and develop your artistic skills using watercolors.
We started by researching eco-friendly ideas seeing what could be done easily and be taught easily. After a day or two I found a rain harvesting system on many houses in the area. I decided to research it more and found the basics of how to make one. Using this information I began putting down ideas into my sketch notebook. Eventually I made two drafts in the notebook and proceeded to create the single illustrations in watercolor. After I did this, I revised each on top of the illustration by using coats of colors and defining lines. After this I scanned them into the computer and began to create the how to on Adobe Illustrator. I am currently in this stage but I will update this page when the project is finished.

After weeks of work and revisions to fit the rest of the magazine, the final How-To has been completed through the use of Adobe Illustrator:
